  Saturday Sept 6 - Meet at Patron Mexican Bar & Grill at 10:45am and roll out at 11am. We will bike the trail on the north side of the Minnesota river (same stretch of trail we biked last year) and then turn on to Chaka Ravine Trail near Engler Blvd and Audubon Rd and follow it north. The Chaska Ravine trail is a beautiful, wooded trail that goes along a creek and also Lake Grace and McKinight Lake. When we reach the north end of the trail we will turn around and ride the same route back to the Patron bar for refreshments/lunch. Round trip should be around 15 miles.

  You can choose between either a shuttle or non-shuttle option. Both options are the same price.

  Non-Shuttle Option- In this trip option, you will need to provide your own shuttle by dropping a vehicle at the endpoint at the Osceola Landing and driving a second vehicle up to Taylors Falls at the MN Insterstate Park. At the end of your trip, you will pull your equipment on to the shore and it will be picked up.

  Come after our Canoe/Kayak trip in Taylors Falls or just come for the wine and camaraderie. We will be able to toast to the beginning of fall together.

  Enjoy a wonderful experience at Winehaven with your choice of wine, delicious food and even wine slushies! Winehaven is family owned and practices sustainable farming. They have a delicious array of flatbread pizzas and assorted cheese, fruit and nut trays that you can enjoy either outside on our terrace or inside the winery.   Save the date for our annual fall kick-off to the snow season.  This year we will be venturing to Jameson's Irish Tavern in West St. Paul (the newly transformed Cherokee Tavern).  The venue has emerged to embody the essence of Irish hospitality and community spirit.  We will have the Bella Room that as it's name implies, is a beautiful space and includes it's own private patio Video of Jameson's and Bella Room .  The owner, Brian Rubenzer, excels in catering to groups of our size and will ensure that the made from scratch food will not disappoint.   There is also a full service bar that will be open adjacent to the space.  Mark your calendar and we hope you can make it to this fun event to celebrate our ski/board community.  Oh, and there will be prizes again this year!

  Mountain Shuttle

  To Juniper Springs Resort, Eagle Lodge & The Village
  The Yellow Line operates from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM with service between Juniper Springs Resort/Eagle Lodge and The Village every 20 minutes.

  Winter Night Trolley
  The free wintertime Night Trolley operates every 30 minutes from 5:40 PM until 10:00 PM seven nights per week.

  The Green Line operates from 7:30 AM until 5:30 PM with service between Juniper Springs Resort/Eagle Lodge and the downtown area at the intersection of Meridian and Old Mammoth Road (Vons).

  Join the SkiHawks on our 2026 Trip to Schweitzer Mountain Resort in Sandpoint, ID.

  

  Join the SkiHawks, bringing you the best value in winter ski adventure,  as we head to beautiful Schweitzer Mountain Resort, a burgeoning destination ski resort located in northern Idaho.  At 2900 acres, Schweitzer is the largest ski resort in Idaho and Washington. Peaceful runs are uncrowded, lift lines are typically short or nonexistent, it is unpretentious, and the resort has a nice laid back vibe to it. If you enjoyed Whitefish, you will love Schweitzer!

  Ticket Special! Schweitzer is currently offering a three pack ticket sale. Buy three tickets for $249, that's just $83 per day, use anytime outside black out dates.  You may have received an email from SkiHawks listing the lift ticket prices as $67 per day....well that deal is gone but $83 is still a heck of a deal.  Act quickly, these deals disappear as fast as a snow cone on a hot summer day!

   

  Addendum to Option 2: Last year, tickets could be purchased online for as little as $105 per adult and $95 per senior (65+). It might be worth waiting to see what Schweitzer's online advance purchase lift tickets will be before committing to buying lift tickets through our trip vendor.   Flight Information

  We are scheduled to fly Delta Airlines direct to Spokane International Airport in Spokane, WA which is eighty eight miles to Schweitzer. (A ski bag and a boot bag count as one bag.) A maximum of 28 seats are available.

  If you choose to book your own flight but desire to utilize the SkiHawks' bus transportation to and from Schweitzer, you must be sure that your flight arrives in GEG prior to 1:14 PM. Your return flight to MSP must depart after 2:05 PM. If you are not able to coordinate arrival and departure times, you must arrange your own shuttle services at your cost. 

    

  Travel Insurance

  We are excited about this trip to ski Schweitzer Mountain and stay at The Selkirk Lodge at Schweitzer Resort. This is a new destination for the SkiHawks and it is expected that this trip will fill.
