RSVP SkiHawks Meet & Ski at Afton Alps
The SkiHawks will be at Afton Alps on Sunday, January 16th for a Meet & Ski.
Afton requires face masks indoors but not outdoors, and restaurant dining requires Covid vaccination and a reservation. Purchase your lift ticket online or at the ticket window after you arrive. Check out all the specifics and details at their website:
Afton is committed to safety during this time and has made changes to accommodate this. Come at any time but lifts open at 9:30. If you're new to the club, it's easier to find people to ski with if you get there early. Meet at The Highland's Chalet at 10:00 on the outdoor patio slopeside (cannot meet as a group indoors). Because of limited access to indoor facilities, guests will not be able to leave property in lodges. You will need to keep your gear in your car, so park in the The Highlands (upper) lot. The Highlands Chalet is the first chalet and parking area you will see on your right after entering the resort after taking your first left at the State Park entrance. Here you can park, pick-up your ticket, grab lunch or a drink and hit the slopes. The only thing you can't do is get rental equipment.
You are able to bring your own food into the lodge, if capacity allows, but everyone should be considerate of time and only use the table when actively dining. Grab and go food is available. There are also restaurants where you can book a mealtime, but you will need to do this on your own. Restaurants require proof of vaccination and face masks. There are very detailed specifics and requirements on the website.
Covid 19 has also changed how Afton Alps will operate this season. Most importantly, lift tickets and rentals may be purchased online in advance. Tickets and reservations are limited. For information, directions and a trail map, link to the Afton Alps website above.
