    The SkiHawks' "value trip" for 2026. Save the dates of Saturday February 7 to Thursday February 12, 2026 to join us at this Iconic Mountain resort for 4 days of skiing & boarding.

    Ski in / Ski out 2 bedroom & 2 bath condos are booked at the Juniper Springs Resort slopeside at the Eagle base area. A total of 8 condo units are reserved. 


    Plans are to fly into Bishop CA only 45 miles from Mammoth Mountain. 

    Mammoth Mountain is proud to be an Ikon Pass destination.  A Quad Pack lift ticket is also available. Both are usable at neighboring June Mountain.

    A group shuttle bus will take us to June Mountain for 1 day of skiing.

    Mammoth Trip Pricing*

    Rostered SkiHawk members have registration priority until Sept. 10th, 2025.

    A minimum deposit of $500 will reserve your spot.

    ·        $1,618 "Early Bird Special" if deposit is received by Oct. 13th     

    ·        $1,668 if deposit is received after Oct. 14th and by Oct. 31st.

    ·        $1,718 if deposit is received after Nov. 1st.

    Fine Print:

    * Pricing is based on a 24-person minimum and is subject to change if there are less than 24 participants, there are fuel or ground transportation surcharges, or unforeseen increases in taxes.

    * Pricing does not include lift tickets. See below for lift ticket options.

    * A single occupancy option is available for a $505 upcharge. Subject to availability.  

    * Land Only" option is less $683.

    * Final trip pricing may be adjusted subject to fuel and bus surcharges.

    Mountain Shuttle

    To Juniper Springs Resort, Eagle Lodge & The Village
    The Yellow Line operates from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM with service between Juniper Springs Resort/Eagle Lodge and The Village every 20 minutes.

    Winter Night Trolley
    The free wintertime Night Trolley operates every 30 minutes from 5:40 PM until 10:00 PM seven nights per week.

    To Juniper Springs Resort, Eagle Lodge & Downtown
    The Green Line operates from 7:30 AM until 5:30 PM with service between Juniper Springs Resort/Eagle Lodge and the downtown area at the intersection of Meridian and Old Mammoth Road (Vons).


    Flight Information

    Current plans are to fly United Airlines from Minneapolis to Bishop CA with a connecting flight in Denver. Bishop is 45 miles from Mammoth Mountain. Here is the flight itinerary, subject to change effective as of 3/27/2025


    A total of 29 seats are available at the price of $683.00. Adding additional air seats may be limited and very expensive, so book early.

         Depart MSP - DEN: Flight 1891 at 8:50 AM. Arrive at 10:02 AM

         Depart DEN - BIH: Flight 5964 at 11:30 AM. Arrive at  1:03 PM

         Depart BIH - DEN: Flight 5727 at 1:10 PM. Arrive at 4:30 PM

         Depart DEN - MSP: Flight 439 at  8:44 PM. Arrive at 11:48 PM


    Important: If you choose to book your own flight but desire to utilize the SkiHawks' bus transportation, you must be sure that your flight arrives in BIH prior to 1:03 PM. Your return flight to MSP must depart after 1:10 PM. If you are not able to coordinate arrival and departure times, you would have to arrange your own shuttle services at your cost.

      Join the SkiHawks on our 2026 Trip to Schweitzer Mountain Resort in Sandpoint, ID.

      Join the SkiHawks, bringing you the best value in winter ski adventure,  as we head to beautiful Schweitzer Mountain Resort, a burgeoning destination ski resort located in northern Idaho.  At 2900 acres, Schweitzer is the largest ski resort in Idaho and Washington. Peaceful runs are uncrowded, lift lines are typically short or nonexistent, it is unpretentious, and the resort has a nice laid back vibe to it. If you enjoyed Whitefish, you will love Schweitzer!

      • Ski Magazine named Schweitzer one of the “Best Under the Radar Ski Areas” and “Best kept Secrets in North America”  (March 2025 and March 2023). That means uncrowded runs and short lift lines!

      The Mountain


      • 2,900 acres of uncrowded skiable terrain served by 10 lifts including 1 high-speed six-pack named Stella, 4 high-speed quads, 2 triple chairlifts, 1 double chairlift, 1 T-Bar, and 1 conveyor lift. Little or no lift lines!
      • The resort has a 2,400 ft. vertical drop from the summit elevation of 6,400. 
      • 10% Beginner, 40% Intermediate, 35% Advanced, and 15% Expert. 
      • Winter Trail Maps: Schweitzer Bowl (front side) and the Outback Bowl (back side), Note: the Outback Bowl is 50% larger (more terrain) than the Schweitzer bowl. 
      • Terrain Parks - Stomping Grounds and the Terrain Garden
      • Longest Continuous Groomed Run: Little Blue Ridge Run, 2.1 miles in length.
      • Average annual snowfall is 300 inches.

Not included in the base price, rally your fellow members, you will need a minimum of 4 of similar ability to qualify for this special discount. Larger groups will be split by ability level.
      • Ski & Ride the best of Schweitzer Let a local expert give you first access to the day's best conditions. Get the inside scoop on the day's powder patches or take runs on freshly groomed corduroy as you skip to the front of the line. Ski Guides give you Schweitzer's VIP treatment. Schweitzer Guides are not lessons. Schweitzer Guides are not included in the base price. If you wish to receive instruction, choose from group or private lessons.

      The cozy and convenient "Selkirk Lodge" is the heart of the village and closest to the slopes, Ski-in Ski-out. Complete with an outdoor swimming pool and hot tubs open year-round, Selkirk is the ultimate basecamp for a mountain adventure. Plus enjoy easy access to amenities like Chimney Rock Grill, Mojo Coyote Cafe and Cambium Spa.

      Option 2, Buy tickets online directly from Schweitzer tickets: Online tickets are discounted if purchased at least three days in advance. 


      Ticket Special! Schweitzer is currently offering a three pack ticket sale. Buy three tickets for $249, that's just $83 per day, use anytime outside black out dates.  You may have received an email from SkiHawks listing the lift ticket prices as $67 per day....well that deal is gone but $83 is still a heck of a deal.  Act quickly, these deals disappear as fast as a snow cone on a hot summer day!

       

      Addendum to Option 2: Last year, tickets could be purchased online for as little as $105 per adult and $95 per senior (65+). It might be worth waiting to see what Schweitzer's online advance purchase lift tickets will be before committing to buying lift tickets through our trip vendor. I will keep an eye out for the online lift ticket pricing and let those registered with the group know what happens.

      Flight Information

      We are scheduled to fly Delta Airlines direct to Spokane International Airport in Spokane, WA which is eighty eight miles to Schweitzer. (A ski bag and a boot bag count as one bag.) A maximum of 28 seats are available.
