      Hey SkiHawks,

Lutsen's Mountain Meltdown is the last hurrah of the 2022 / 2023 ski and ride season. Let's get together and celebrate the season at Lutsen!

Help us bring SkiHawk Winter Carnival spirit to Lutsen for Mountain Meltdown, Mar 31st through April 2nd. During the Meltdown, Lutsen guarantees that they will have 40 runs open. In addition, there will be music on the mountain and at Papa Charlies.

This weekend is also the Sweetwater Shakedown with music both Friday and Saturday nights at Papa Charlies (for an admission charge), the Mountain Top Chalet on Moose Mountain and apre' ski music Saturday and Sunday at Papa's. Check it ouhere.

The plan is to do Mountain Meltdown Meet & Ski style. It’s informal and can be customized to fit your needs. Drive up on your own on Friday (03/30) and ski Saturday and Sunday. You choose when you leave, who your roommates are and the lodging / lift package that fits your budget. You can stay slope side or off the hill. It's your choice. Start here at Mountain Meltdown

Friday will be a travel day with arrivals varying throughout the day. Here are a few Meet Up ideas for our time at Lutsen.

      • Fri: 8:00 PM or so, meet at Moguls Bar & Grill at the Caribou Highlands Lodge to enjoy a cocktail, meet old friends and make some new ones. SkiHawks, please wear your SkiHawk yellow hats and other swag so that our new people can find us. If you are a paid & rostered member of the SkiHawks and need swag, it will be available for sale.
      • Sat: 9:00 AM - Lifts open - SKI & RIDE! You can spot rostered SkiHawks by our yellow bandannas, leg bands and pole flags.
      • 11:30 - 1:00. Lunch at the Summit Chalet at the top of the Moose Mountain. Weather depending, we will be on the deck. Otherwise, we will try for onside tables, next to the windows. It is 1st come, 1st serve, so look for our yellow swag. Come and go as you wish.
      • 3:00 - Papa Charlie's - Apre' ski music starts at 4:00. We will try to have a get together about 3:00, but you can stop in when you'd like. Again, SkiHawks, please have your yellow swag.
      • Dinner is on your own
      • 9:00 - Papa Charlie's - Live music continues.
